Classification: Salary, approximately 40 hours per week
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Pay Rate: $45,000-$50,000

Position Summary
As a vital social enterprise and mission-driven revenue stream, the ReStore Director leads and provides oversight of all
the ReStore operations of Habitat for Humanity of Bay County, FL. This position is responsible for leading, developing,
and growing ReStore donations and sales to meet financial goals. They will expand, implement and drive programs and
relationships to secure donations and raise awareness to advance the organization’s mission in building safe, affordable
homes in Bay County.
Required Skills & Experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ leadership and/or retail experience, directing successful teams and being accountable for meeting
objectives.
• Solid application of interpersonal and communications skills, internally and externally, with groups and individuals.
• The ability and willingness to call on existing and potential donors to increase merchandise in the store.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in training, managing, motivating and developing diverse teams of employees and
volunteers.
• Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, Microsoft word and email. Plus, point-of-sale system experience.
• A history of successfully adapting to rapidly changing conditions with unexpected shifts in priorities.
• Ability to safely lift and position up to 50 pounds. Job could entail bending, kneeling and reaching. Bulk of time will be
spent standing and walking.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational
• Drive donations, sales and profits of the ReStore to advance Habitat’s mission.
• Ensure quality inventory flow through donation and wholesale procurement and effective merchandise management.
• Ensure all staff are trained and provide outstanding service to customers, donors, volunteers and others.
• Monitor financial performance, establish goals, and provide regular reporting on key metrics.
• Understand and analysis key performance metrics and communicate to all ReStore employees how they
relate/contribute to positive customer experience and high-quality operations.
• Ensure ReStore is adequately staffed with knowledge, skills, abilities and leadership to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
• Ensure all personnel understand and can effectively communicate the Habitat ReStore and Habitat mission to members
of the public.
• Effectively manages Habitat’s ReStore assets to ensure safety of employees, volunteers, customers and others, ensuring
that licenses and other required information are maintained properly for government bodies and others as appropriate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising
• Along with the CEO and Restore Committee, develop and implement a Public Relations/ Media Plan to increase sales,
donations, and community engagement to further the mission of Habitat.
• Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, including individuals, businesses, community and
church groups to increase quality and quantity of merchandise donations.
• In partnership with the CEO, sets up presentations to individuals and groups to create and expand long-term mutually
beneficial relationships with current and prospective donors, civic/business organizations, governmental bodies and
other non-profit organizations.
• Represent the organization at community events and serve as an ambassador for the ReStore and the overall mission of
Habitat.
• Participate in developing, rolling out and measuring marketing and advertising programs to increase donations, sales and
volunteer participation.
Staff & Volunteer Management
• Hire, train and manage ReStore staff in accordance with relevant personnel and safety policies and take steps to ensure
staff is well versed so that all policies and practices are understood and adhered to
• Consistent positive supervision, development and evaluation of ReStore employees and volunteers in order to provide a
high-quality donor and customer experience.
• Evaluate, address, recognize and reward staff performance in a timely manner. This includes safety concerns, excellent
or poor job performance, and any misconduct. Properly documenting incidents and providing corrective actions.
Resolve situations involving volunteers in consultation with the Volunteer Coordinator and the CEO as needed.
Finance and Administration
• Implement and monitor systems for daily cash transactions and regular deposits.
• Provide accurate accounting records as required or requested.
• Approve employee recording of payroll
• Approve and submit invoices payable on a timely basis while also ensuring expenditure is within approved limits.
Reporting and Communications
• Provide reports on activities including but not limited to sales, expenses, donations, volunteers, outreach activities and
other areas of interest.
• Keep CEO informed appropriately and timely of operational and financial matters.
